Anne worked with us for well over a year, picking out homes and helping us understand what we were looking at, as well as all the complexities of the market, timing, disclosures, and such. We were fairly choosy, and while other agents might have tired after a year in which we made no offers, Anne stuck with us. When we finally found a place that seemed “just right”, close to transport, cute, and needing no major renovations, we knew it would be a very competitive buying situation. Nonetheless, we made our best offer with her coaching, and Anne got us the house! First try!! What could be better than that? Well, she got it for about 50 grand less than we thought we needed to pay, AND she found us a mortgage lender the night before who was offering a special loan at a full percentage point lower than everyone else on a 30-year fixed APR. Anne did an incredible job for us and was instrumental in helping us find a home that we really love. She was patient and understanding and never pushed us to make an offer even though our search was quite prolonged. In fact, at several points, she wisely advised us against houses that were not a good fit. She not only knows the housing market but she also is very knowledgeable about home construction and could give us accurate readings on what repairs were likely in the houses w were considering. She learned what we were looking for and spotted several good prospects (including the home we eventually bought) before they were listed. Anne's real strong suit though is in the offering process. She gave us very professional advice about our competition for a particular house and what kind of offer would be competitive. She made it a priority to make sure that we didn't overbid a house (which is a real danger in the present overheated market). On top of all of this, she is a very pleasant and fun person who seemed genuinely happy when we found a house we loved. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
